Class parties are memorable and fun for children, so make sure to bring a camera to catch such memories! The pictures you can share with the parents and teachers – or put in the school newsletter! You should try to choose music going with the party. It will help set the mood and the children love it. Also, you can utilize the music as a fast back-up game if necessary.
You need to have a parent helper who will go around with a trash bag to clean up after the children, and another parent appointed to help with seconds or refills. The children should eat first, and play a game. When a game is going on, then you can clear up the desks for an activity or craft if you have one planned. In case you are doing a craft, be sure to write each kid’s name on it in order that they do not get theirs combined with their neighbor. In case you wish to do two things, but have time for only one activity, you can set up a couple of stations and have one half the class do the game when another does the craft; next have them switch.
You need to be the one who is chargeable for how things will progress during the school classroom party and be sure things move along. It should be a great time for a teacher as well, but in case there are some discipline problems – you need to refer a student to a teacher and permit her to take care of the case.
